The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows celebrates 36 years of Cioppino at the annual Jack T. Reviglio Cioppino Feed and Auction, Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Donald W. Reynolds Facility. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. for the silent and mobile bidding auction followed by dinner and live auction at 6:30 p.m.
“This year the Club is celebrating 40 years of serving kids in northern Nevada and a big part of that success is due to Cioppino and the direct impact it has on the youth in our community,” said Mike Wurm, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows. “We anticipate another sold-out event for this one-of-a-kind experience that currently helps us serve nearly 14,000 Club members at 20 sites in Reno, Sparks and Fernley.”
The Cioppino Feed remains the Club’s signature fundraiser, bringing in nearly 15 percent of the annual operating budget and impacting the lives of thousands of local children. The star of the evening is the cioppino, which is still made from scratch by Bud Sorensen, Bob Capurro and a talented team of Italian cooks. The silent, mobile and live auctions feature more than 500 unique items and experiences that you cannot find anywhere else. The event is one of the most widely attended and celebrated fundraisers in the community, gathering 1,600 of northern Nevada’s top business and civic leaders to support the kids at the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows.
Tickets for the event are $250 per person or $1,600 for a table of eight. Table sales are available to the public starting Wednesday, January 20. Pre-event auction registration (highly recommended) and auction item donation submissions are currently available online.
